FS007: Bracing for the Common Crash: RTI and the Common Core

The Common Core State Standards and the associated accountability tests have the potential to accelerate functional screening progress monitoring, and evidence-based interventions required for successful implementation of RTI. They also have the potential to significantly impair 15 years of practice gains. Low-performing/at-risk students, including those who receive special education, are most likely to be affected. This session presents viewpoints and strategies from several school, district, and national leaders designed to avoid the crash and promote student success.
