PI045: Cross-Battery Assessment with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

School psychologists with expertise in deafness have identified cross-battery assessment (XBA) as a useful approach for assessing and developing appropriate interventions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) students. Rationale for engaging in XBA with D/HH students will be reviewed along with potential challenges. Sample XBA case studies will be shared and this session will outline a process for analyzing task demands of potential measures and for selecting tests that maximize validity and minimize error.
