Getting CPD at the Convention
While at the convention, you can earn continuing professional development (CPD) credit for attending the keynote address, featured sessions, special sessions, and more than 1,200 peer-reviewed sessions (mini-skills, papers, participant information exchange sessions, posters, and symposia), all of which are included as part of the registration fee.
NCSPs: These count toward 65 of the 75 hours of CPD required for renewal.
WAYS TO GET DOCUMENTED CPD
If you need documented CPD for your license or certification, the annual convention is an important opportunity to earn the hours you need for renewal. There are three different ways to get documented NASP-, APA-, and NBCC-approved CPD at the convention:
- NASP Convention Workshops offer between 3 and 12 hours of documented, NASP-, APA-, and NBCC-approved CPD and let you take an in-depth look at the areas that interest you most. To see a list of workshops being offered, visit the Complete Session List.
- Documented Sessions each offer 1.25 hours of documented, NASP-, APA-, and NBCC-approved CPD and are a cost-effective way to get CPD at the convention. To see a list of documented sessions being offered, visit the Complete Session List.
- Session Recording Packages offer between 5.5 and 10.25 hours of documented, NASP-, APA-, and NBCC-approved CPD and let you access this opportunity after the convention in a format that is flexible and convenient.
NCSPs: Workshops, Documented Sessions, and Session Recording Packages count toward the 10 hours of NASP- and APA-approved CPD and can help you fulfill your ethical practice and legal regulation required for renewal.
Washington state attendees: Workshops and Documented Sessions provide Washington State Approved Clock Hours for your renewal.
