WS19: Assessment of English Language Learners—Advanced

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 2:30 PM–5:30 PM

Participants are expected to be experienced in the various factors that affect evaluation of English language learners and current evaluative methods typically used with diverse populations, and to have some familiarity with the Culture-Language Interpretive Matrix (C-LIM). Through the use of extended case studies and additional data, this workshop will deliver advanced instruction and guidance in (a) the application of the C-LIM and its utility in systematically evaluating the validity of obtained test results, (b) the manner in which valid data may be interpreted within the context of other relevant information and data, and (c) engaging in a nondiscriminatory decision-making process.
