Information for NCSPs
Ethical Practice and Legal Regulation of School Psychology CPD Requirement
NCSPs must accrue 3 hours of CPD regarding ethical practice and/or the legal regulation of school psychology during each three-year renewal period. Legal regulation of school psychology refers to IDEA, NCLB, Section 504, and similar issues. This requirement may be met with any appropriate CPD activity category.
To help you meet this requirement, NASP is offering two opportunities at the 2010 Summer Conferences:
Denver
Ethical Decision Making and RTI (3 credit hours)
Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 1:30–4:45 p.m.; repeated on
Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 8:30–11:45 a.m.
Nashville
Ethics for School Psychologists: A Readers Theater Approach (3 credit hours)
Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 1:30–4:45 p.m.; repeated on
Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 8:30–11:45 a.m.
NASP is pleased to announce that all sessions offered at the summer conferences are NASP- and APA-approved. NCSPs must obtain 10 of the 75 CPDs required for renewal from NASP- or APA-approved providers. Visit the certification webpage for details on this requirement.
