Focus: Engaging students at all levels of development to meet challenges, build new skills, and become thriving members of a thriving school community.
The theme for 2014 School Psychology Awareness Week is Strive. Grow. THRIVE! Our goal is to engage students at all levels of learning and development to promote personal achievement, growth, and resilience, as well as a sense of connectedness and wellbeing. Resources and messaging can be adapted to students and adults, different age groups, and multiple contexts.
The program involves a series of resources and suggested activities to help school staff, students and parents understand the variety of factors that contribute to thriving students and school communities.

Materials to help introduce the topic of gratitude to students.
In Gratitude We Thrive!
Check out suggested activities for using NASP's new Gratitude Works-Thrive wristbands to cultivate gratitude and recognize positive action in your school. Wristbands will be available for purchase in late September, 2014.
- Possibilities in Action Partner Program
Emphasizes supporting the needs of the whole child in furthering positive school outcomes by recognizing the special contribution made in daily work and interactions with students.
- Student POWER Award
Recognizes students for progress towards goals, personal optimism, willing problem solving, eagerness to work hard, and dedication to others.
