Can my school district pay the EBSCO access fee for me?

Many school districts recognize the value of the NASP EBSCO Online Library and reimburse their school psychologists for the access fee. Because of licensing restrictions, NASP can only accept payments from individual NASP members.

How can I improve my search capabilities?

The NASP EBSCO Online Library contains very helpful tutorials, available by clicking on “help” in the upper right-hand corner of any page and selecting EBSCOhost Tutorials or individual topics from the menu on the left.

Does NASP provide technical support to users of the NASP EBSCO Online Library?

The EBSCOhost Tutorials are the best sources of information on effective use of the Library. In addition, NASP publishes a quarterly newsletter via e-mail exclusively for Library users, which provides helpful hints on effective search strategies, featured articles, and more. NASP is unable to provide additional technical support on conducting searches and locating specific articles beyond these resources

Can I share EBSCO articles with my colleagues, students, or employer?

Limited sharing of articles is acceptable (e.g., sharing one copy of an article with a colleague or student). Articles in the Library are copyrighted and, thus, sharing is limited just as it would be if you were to photocopy an article from a library. Searches conducted for the benefit of employers are prohibited when the intention is to assist the institution in saving the cost of an appropriate institutional subscription.

Why are some articles available in full text, but not others?

Availability of full-text articles is determined by negotiations between EBSCO Information Services and individual journal publishers. NASP has no control over which journal articles are available in full text.

Why is there a delay in accessing recent issues of some journals?

Some journal publishers specify that recent issues be “embargoed” for a period of time (usually six or 12 months) before they become available in the database.

How do I renew my access to the NASP EBSCO Online Library?

You can renew your access at any time. NASP sends reminders to NASP members before their access expires and in the weeks following expiration.
