Register early! Convention registrations will be accepted as received on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis. Using the online registration system, your registration is processed in real time, and the NASP Convention Workshops and events requiring reservations can be confirmed immediately.

Convention Fees

Your Convention Registration Fee Includes …

The convention registration fee includes admission to the keynote address, all special and featured sessions, and nearly 1,000 reviewed presentations (mini-skills, papers, symposia, and posters). Listings of these sessions will be available on this site by mid-January. Additional fees are required for optional NASP Convention Workshops and certain special events, as indicated on the convention registration form.

Windy City Audio Recording Packages

NASP is pleased to help attendees make the most of the convention experience by providing audio recordings of key educational sessions complete with synchronized PowerPoint presentations, applicable online handouts, and more, all at extremely worthwhile rates (available with convention registration fee only.)

Please select one of the following three multimedia proceedings packages:

Package 1 ($14.99)

Access via the NASP Online Learning Center to recordings of the 2010 keynote address and all convention featured sessions, with synchronized handouts.

Package 2* ($19.99)

Access via the NASP Online Learning Center and on CD-ROMs to recordings of the 2010 keynote address, featured sessions, President’s Special Strand sessions, and 10 selected NASP Convention Workshops, all with synchronized handouts. 

Package 3* ($29.99)

Access via the NASP Online Learning Center and on CD-ROMs to more than 100 hours of all recorded 2010 convention sessions, including the keynote address, featured sessions, President’s Special Strand sessions, and all other recorded sessions, including NASP Convention Workshops, all with synchronized handouts. Also included: preferred seating at the opening general session and special name badge identification.

*For your convenience, you will be able to download audio recordings from the CD-ROMs in packages 2 and 3 to your MP3 player or iPod and take your education on the run!

Methods of Payment

Payment may be made by Visa/MasterCard, check, or money order only. Checks and money orders must be made payable to NASP, in U.S. dollars. Please note that NASP is unable to accept purchase orders or registrations submitted without payment in full. Please submit a separate registration form and payment for each individual attending the convention; checks covering more than one person’s registration will not be accepted.

To take advantage of early registration discounts, registration forms and payment in full must be received no later than February 3, 2010. Registrations received after February 3, 2010, will be processed at the higher on-site registration rate. On-site registrations, including all daily registrations, will be accepted as available, during regular registration hours.

Print or type all information on the registration form and return the form with payment in full to NASP Convention Registration, J. Spargo & Associates, 11208 Waples Mill Road, Suite 112, Fairfax, VA 22030. Please keep a copy of the form as your receipt.

Please note that NASP cannot accept registrations submitted via telephone or fax. Do not submit more than one copy of your registration; doing so may accidentally result in duplicate registration charges.

Registration Confirmations

Convention attendees who register online will receive immediate confirmation of their registration via e-mail. For mailed registrations, confirmations will be sent via e-mail unless no e-mail address is provided (in which case, they will be faxed or mailed). Please review all information for accuracy immediately upon receipt of your registration confirmation. If you do not receive your acknowledgment within 7 business days, or if there is an error, call NASP Registration at (800) 811-5947 or (703) 449-6418, or e-mail naspregistration@jspargo.com.

Exhibit Hall Identification Cards

Please be aware that all information captured on the registration form, except home and cell phone numbers, will be included on your Exhibit Hall identification card. Do not swipe your ID card in the booths of any vendors whom you do not wish to receive your contact information.

Exhibit Hall identification cards also will be used to record attendance at the strand of sessions for which NASP-approved continuing professional development credit may be earned.

Badges and Event Tickets

Badges and event tickets for advance registrants will be available for pickup at the NASP Convention Registration Area located on the Gold Level in the East Tower of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Self-Registration terminals as well as Assisted Registration counters will be available for preregistrants. On-site registration hours will be as follows:

Wednesday, March 3—7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 4—7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Friday, March 5—7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 6—7:00–9:00 a.m.

Attendees registering on site at the convention will be directed to the Assisted Registration counters for their badges and tickets. Registrations Received After February 3, 2010

Attendees whose registrations are postmarked after February 3, 2010, will be charged the on-site convention registration fees. Register online to avoid delays!

On-Site Registration

The NASP Convention Registration Area is located on the Gold Level in the East Tower of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. On-site registration hours are as follows:

Tuesday, March 2—7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 3—7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 4—7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Friday, March 5—7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 6—7:00–9:00 a.m.

On-Site, 1-Day, and Guest Registrations

Attendees who wish to register on site (including all daily registrations), register a guest ($25), or purchase tickets for optional NASP Convention Workshops or special events may do so at the Assisted Registration counter in the NASP Convention Registration Area on the Gold Level in the East Tower of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Daily registrations are available for purchase on site only. Guests (nonmembers only) must be accompanied by a registered attendee who has paid the full registration fee. A limit of one guest per registered attendee will be imposed.

Children and Infants

Children and infants are welcome at the NASP convention as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times and are not disruptive to convention activities. NASP does not encourage the presence of children in educational sessions. Attendees with infants in educational sessions are asked to sit near an exit. If attempts to quiet an infant are unsuccessful, please leave the session and return when the infant is settled.

Changes and Cancellations

Workshops and special events can be added, canceled, or changed online.
If you registered online, check your e-mail confirmation for the web link to make changes to your registration. If you registered by mail, call NASP Registration at (800) 811-5947 or (703) 449-6418, or e-mail your request to naspregistration@jspargo.com.

Before the convention, registrations may be canceled by a written request, e-mailed to
naspregistration@jspargo.com. For registration fees to be refunded, cancellations must be received on or before February 3, 2010. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after February 3, 2010, or on site.

A $50 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. All refund checks and credit card credits will be processed in U.S. dollars within approximately one month after the convention. Registrants who elect to cancel their convention attendance are responsible for canceling their own travel and hotel reservations. Please note that NASP cannot be responsible for airline schedule changes or cancellations and will not be able to issue refunds resulting from changes in air travel arrangements.

On-Site Session Changes

Attendees who wish to change their session or event selections on site may do so, as space permits, at the Assisted Registration counters located in the NASP Convention Registration Area. Please note that, because of space constraints, on-site session changes may not be possible.
