Retired NCSP Information

The NCSP (retired) designation
allows retired NCSPs to continue to identify themselves as persons who
have met the national standard of their profession. The official title
of this designation is "Nationally Certified School Psychologist
(Retired)" or "NCSP (Retired)."
Eligibility
Most Nationally Certified School
Psychologists are eligible for NCSP (Retired) status provided the following
requirements are met:
- All public or private remunerative activity as a school psychologist
has ceased
- The applicant has been an NCSP for at least six (6) years
- The applicant is an NCSP in good standing at the time the application
is received in the NASP office

Reinstatement
Should any NCSP (Retired) individual
decide to re-enter the workforce, they can convert their NCSP (Retired)
status to a full NCSP by completing the current CPD requirements and paying
the appropriate renewal fee.
NASP Retired Membership
NASP offers full membership benefits at a discounted rate for those who have retired from full time remunerative professional activity, but may be consulting or involved in other paid professional activity less than 15 hours a week.
