President Elect Candidates

Tom Delaney

Tom Delaney-Washington
Tom Delaney, currently serving as NASP Treasurer since 2007, is experienced in NASP, as well as state level, leadership.  In addition to the Treasurer’s duties, Tom has served as Delegate Representative from the Western Region, Delegate from Washington State, and on various NASP committees.  He was also Washington State President.

Phil Lazarus

Philip Lazarus-Florida
Philip Lazarus, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Director of the School Psychology Program at Florida International University, a recipient of the FASP Lifetime Achievement Award, past Chairperson of the NASP National Emergency Assistance Team, past FASP President and co-editor of Best Practices in School Crisis Prevention and Intervention.

Linda Neiheiser

Linda Neiheiser-Ohio
Dr. Neiheiser is President of the Ohio School Psychologists Association, an Adjunct Professor of School Psychology at Kent State University, and a full-time practitioner in the Cleveland schools.  A NASP convention presenter and NASP publications contributor since 1990, she developed and coordinates the NASP Adoption & Foster Care Interest Group.

Ron Benner

Ron Benner-Connecticut
Ron Benner’s 41 years as a school psychologist/educator, is noteworthy for his leadership as NASP Delegate and Listserv Chair and elected and appointed state level positions. He has taught at the university level, is active in NEA leadership, and is a well respected speaker at state and LEA association trainings.

Deborah Johnson

Deborah Johnson-New York
Deborah Johnson, Director of National Services (Children's Institute) and Clinical Associate (University of Rochester) currently conducts research and provides consultation regarding children’s emotional health.  She previously worked as a school psychologist and with the California Department of Mental Health. Her NASP involvement has included GPR leadership and Strategic Planning facilitation. 

Jean Ramage

Jean Ramage-Hawaii
As the present Hawaii Delegate and the Western Region Representative to the Executive Council, Jean Ramage has recent experience with the NASP budget process.  She also has fiscal experience as an administrator, coordinating budgets from $4 million to $29 million.  She believes budgets should reflect the goals of the organization.
